Dr. Sarah Heidt received her B.A. in philosophy from Yale College in 1991 and went on to earn the Ph.D. in philosophy from Yale University. She is currently Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Marygrove College in Detroit, where she teaches Ethics and Health Care ethics, as well as courses in Religious Studies. Previous appointments include Eastern Michigan University and John Jay College of Criminal Justice/ C.U.N.Y. She was also formerly the Dean of Ecumenical Theological Seminary in Detroit. While at ETS she was involved with promoting health ministry, along with the Detroit Wayne County Health Authority which seeks productive collaboration with all sectors of the community to reduce health disparities.
Before returning to academia in 2006, she established her own LLC, designing and selling paper products both wholesale and retail. She also worked as a licensed designer for Colorbok with a product line sold at JoAnn’s stores nationwide.
